Good Shepherd
The Good Shepherd Program (GSP) is a drug and alcohol-free, 12-bed residence for men experiencing homelessness who are medically fragile. GSP provides personalized and comprehensive case management that focuses on transition from homelessness to independent living, while working with its clients to manage their specific healthcare needs.
Range of services provided include:
Good Shepherd is run in collaboration with Philadelphia’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Department of Health, AIDS Activities Coordinating Office and the Office of Emergency Shelter and Services, and with generous support from foundations, donors, and volunteers. Good Shepherd is a program of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

If your faith or compassion for neighbors experiencing homelessness who are medically fragile calls you to lend a hand, we need your help.
Volunteers are needed for meal service and to lead life skills education classes. There are also opportunities to sponsor graduation events for residents. If you are interested, please contact program supervisor, Peter Greenland at Pgreenland@chs-adphila.org.
